How to make Pink donuts with ruby chocolate

Valentine’s Day is either celebrated to the fullest or hated from the bottom of our hearts. Galentine’s Day, however, offers the opportunity to integrate a day of love into one’s life without the pressure to consume and without a partner. Because it celebrates friendship. Friendship Day takes place on 13 February, the day before Valentine’s Day. The day was chosen according to the motto “sisters before misters”. The term Galentine’s Day is a combination of Valentine’s Day and ‘Gal’, the English word for girlfriend.

So ladies, celebrate your friendship and go pink!

Of course, you can also make these cool donuts on any other day, so enjoy.

Donut Dough

First

Mix all ingredients to a fluffy dough, the longer you knead the better the dough will be.

Once the dough has been kneaded well, cover it and let it rest for 1 hour. You can place a warm cloth over the bowl to help the dough grow.

Cutting out donuts

Second

Now the dough should have risen well so that we can roll it out. The rolled out dough thickness should be 1 cm.

Cut out the circles with a large glass. To cut out the small holes, you can use a small shot glass and pierce the centre of the circles. If you don’t have a shot glass, you can also use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke a hole which you should enlarge a little afterwards.

Now pour plenty of oil into a large saucepan which you heat to 160°. Put the doughnuts in the oil and fry them for 1 minute per side. You can turn them over with a fork to the other side so that they also get golden brown for 1 minute. You can also put more than one in the oil at a time, depending on the size of your pan.

Leave the donuts to cool on a baking tray, about 30-45 minutes.

Fourth

While the donuts are cooling, melt 500 g of chocolate in a bowl.

Once the chocolate has melted completely, you can dip the donuts in it or drizzle the melted chocolate over the donuts for a nicer glaze. If you want more toppings on your donuts, sprinkle them on the donuts while the chocolate is still warm and liquid.

Fifth

Allow the donuts to cool completely so that the chocolate hardens. Of course, you can put the chocolate in the fridge to help it harden faster. Donuts taste best on the first day, so make sure they don’t sit around too long.
